This invasion, commonly known as D-Day, was the result of an allied invasion of Nazi Europe by the United Kingdom, Canada, America, and Free France. The 156,000 troops started in Portsmouth, England, and arrived in Cayen, France. After 24 days, the allies won. This battle is generally thought to have been the cause of the downfall of Nazi Germany.
